Internship Program
Arrow Passage Recovery offers unpaid internships and practicum positions. We welcome applicants who are seeking their CDCA certification and licensed alcohol and drug counseling (LADC) degree at either the bachelor’s or master’s level. We also accept LPC, LPCC students, and Social Work students seeking a mental health internship. This is an amazing opportunity that will finally bring your education and knowledge to life. Each intern will work closely under the supervision of the Field Supervisor, Department Mentors, and/or Agency Internship Coordinator.
Arrow Passage Recovery built our addiction and dual diagnosis treatment models from the ground up to create the highest quality care for every patient. With personalized treatment plans that move at a pace that works best for each client, our integrative approach provides the comprehensive support they need to succeed in recovery. Whether an individual needs treatment for addiction or a dual diagnosis, from residential through outpatient and aftercare, the patients and their families will receive the customized support they’d expect from a luxurious destination facility – right in their backyard.
We are a residential treatment program that provides treatment to men and women meeting the criteria for substance use or dual diagnosis treatment. This program is typically 45-90 days of residential placement followed by 12 weeks of non-residential treatment in our IOP program. Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors work with licensed mental health professionals, medical staff, peer recovery specialists, and other supplemental services including case management, to deliver a complete range of services.

Intern Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, manage, and implement therapeutic interventions and techniques with clients
- Interview clients and assess their current condition, needs, strengths, and weaknesses
- Address each case and set tailored measurable goals
- Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
- Offer information and counseling on the best course of action during sessions
- Complete treatment plans, progress notes, etc. on time and/or as needed
- Maintain accurate records/documentation and report on clients’ status
- Complete documentation within an appropriate time frame
- Refer clients to community services and resources as needed
- Collaborate and coordinate care for clients as needed
- All interns will be in observation for the first 2-3 weeks
